As a new-to-SD gal, when I found this 365 project, I was so excited!

I was looking for the name of this singer I’d heard at a gallery-walk-art-thing, and happended to stumble on this site. What a coincidence. They don’t have all the details up yet (as far as I can tell), but it *seems* like they are trying out new things every day.
Great start guys! Blogging is hard, but keep it up!
Update: found the descriptions page.
“
jacques and i, are about to start a new ant farm! no, seriously, i mean, we are, but we’re also about to embark on an intense year of challenges, some likely unanticipated, but what we plan to do here is blog about those which have been hand selected.
who we are: two twenty somethings. engaged.
what this is about: this should be the first of 366 blogs. we’re committing the next twelve months to challenging ourselves and each other in unique ways….for the sake of a challenge with the hopes of bettering ourselves, and hopefully making the lives of others better. the premise is simple, every month, we choose one challenge and then spend each of the next thirty (28-31, depending) days fulfilling that challenge.
why are we documenting: to keep ourselves on pace. to stay honest and motivated. and ultimately, to chronicle this hectic, exciting, memorable year.
where: earth. mostly san diego.
when: jan 1, 2010-dec 31,2010
in the past, we’ve taken on monthly challenges with no particular organization. because we acknowledge that life’s daily challenges generally make us more appreciative and better adjusted adults, we figure setting out to explore new challenges might actually make us better people. in the long run.
these are some of our ideas for the next twelve months. each task would be completed once every day for the entire month.
1. eat one food you have never eaten
2. spend only $5/day (food, beverage, and entertainment)
3. listen to an album you’ve never heard, in its entirity
4. 30 minutes of exercise, doing a different activity
5. write someone a letter
6. use your mobile for ONLY phone calls (no texting or e-mailing)
7. allow only (an amount to be determined) of waste/trash
we have a list of about 25 ideas, but we don’t love all of them and we’re always looking for inspiration, so if you come across this and you’re game for a laugh, challenge us, play along, and share your experiences.
for the month of january 2010, we have chosen to start off simple, to get into the swing of things (WHILE LEARNING HOW TO BLOG), so our challenge:
visit a park, museum, restaurant, bar, theater, ice rink, smash shack, or any place we’ve never been.
and we’re off!”
